Referral Program

1. Subscriptions

We offer several subscription options to suit your language assistance needs. All subscriptions allow for rolling over unused minutes, up to a maximum of 60 minutes. Below are the current subscription offerings:

  • Expat Starter (10€, 15 minutes): This subscription offers 15 minutes of call time for one specific language pair (e.g., English to Spanish).
  • Traveller Multilingual (18.99€, 15 minutes): This plan gives you access to any of the languages available on our service, offering the flexibility to switch between them.
  • Multilingual VIP (59.99€, 60 minutes): Ideal for frequent users, this plan provides 60 minutes of call time and access to all available languages.

Roll-Over of Minutes

Unused minutes will automatically roll over to the next month, up to a maximum accumulation of 60 minutes. You must maintain an active subscription to benefit from this roll-over feature. If your subscription lapses, any remaining or rolled-over minutes will be forfeited.

Gifting Minutes

Minutes can also be gifted to others. You can arrange this by booking a call on behalf of a friend or colleague, and they will receive the call and the time will be deducted from your balance.

7-Day Money-Back Guarantee

If you change your mind within 7 days of activating your subscription and have not used any of your call time, you are entitled to a full refund. Simply contact us, and we will cancel your subscription and refund the payment with no questions asked.


2. Referral Program & Conditions

Our Affiliate Referral Program rewards users who refer others to our service. By referring new clients, you can earn commissions on their subscription payments as outlined below.

Entry into the Referral Program

You can join the Referral Program for free by signing up via the Affiliate Registration page. However, to receive commission payments for referred clients, you must maintain an active subscription. The minimum required subscription is the Expat Starter 15-Minute Plan (currently 10€).

You can also opt to join the Referral Program by purchasing any of our subscription plans directly from the Referral Program or Register pages.

Commission Conditions

  • You must maintain an active subscription to qualify for and receive commissions.
  • Referrals are confirmed after the 7-day money-back guarantee period for the referred client’s subscription has elapsed, regardless of whether any call time has been used.
  • Commissions for referrals are paid based on the subscription tier and the commission rates published on the Register page at the time of purchase.

Payout Schedule

  • Commissions for referrals made by the 15th of the month will be paid on the last day of that month.
  • Commissions for referrals made after the 15th will be paid on the last day of the following month.
  • Payments will be processed via PayPal. Please note that PayPal may charge fees for receiving payments.

Affiliate Tax Responsibility

You are solely responsible for understanding and fulfilling any tax obligations in your jurisdiction regarding any income earned through referral commissions.


3. Commission Guarantee

The Commission Guarantee ensures that once you successfully refer a client, all future purchases by that client will continue to generate commission payments to you, provided that you maintain an active subscription.

Lifetime Client Attribution

Once a client is referred by an affiliate, they are permanently linked to that affiliate for the lifetime of the client’s relationship with our service. All future purchases made by the client—whether next month or 10 years from now—will continue to generate commissions for the original referrer.

The client’s first purchase must occur within 180 days of their initial click on your referral link for the relationship to be valid. After that, the client will remain linked to you indefinitely.

Active Subscription Requirement for Commissions

To qualify for commissions, you must have an active subscription, at least at the Expat Starter 15-Minute Plan level (10€). If your subscription lapses, you will not receive commissions, and they will not accumulate.

If you generate commissions while your subscription is inactive, we will make reasonable efforts to contact you to inform you of pending commissions. You may choose to ask us to activate your subscription manually, and we will deduct the subscription cost from your pending commissions if requested. However, commissions generated during inactive periods will be forfeited.

Example:

  • If you earn 5€ in one month while your subscription is inactive, the 5€ will be forfeited.
  • If you earn 9€ the next month but do not activate a subscription, the 9€ will also be forfeited.
  • In the third month, you earn 11€ and request manual activation of your subscription using 10€ from your commission balance. The 1€ surplus will be paid out, but the previously forfeited commissions (5€ + 9€) will not be recoverable.

Commissions in Case of Company Sale

In the unlikely event of a company sale, the purchasing entity will be required to honor all established affiliate-client relationships. This means that commissions will continue to be paid to affiliates under the same terms, including the lifetime client attribution, even after ownership has transferred.

These are the Promotion Participant Terms and Conditions for the Giveaway Promotion (hereafter “Promotion”) offered by myfriendsinspain, located at C/ Segona Germania, 10, B-21 Pedreguer, 03750 ALICANTE SPAIN, tax number ESX4834549H (hereafter “Company”).

GENERAL CLAUSES:

1. These Promotion Participant Terms and Conditions apply to the Promotion offered by the Company and do not apply to any other services offered by and/or agreements with the Company.

2. Participation in the Promotion implies the participant agrees with these Promotion Participant Terms and Conditions and the Company Privacy Policy available at www.myfriendinspain.com/privacy-policy as well as with all decisions the Company takes to ensure the Promotion runs smoothly.

3. If any provision in these Promotion Participant Terms and Conditions is void or voided, the remaining provisions will remain in full force. The Company will replace the void provision with new a provision, whereby the purpose and scope of the original provision will be taken into account as much as legally possible.

4. The Company may at any time, in its sole discretion and without giving prior notice, change these Promotion Participant Terms and Conditions, unless these changes are to the disadvantage of the participant.

PROMOTION PARTICIPATION

5. This Promotion runs continuously and is drawn once per month until the company announces a change.

6. Participation in the Promotion is open to persons living anywhere they can receive the service.

7. Participants can participate in the Promotion by registering for the Promotion on the website www.myfriendinspain.com/winmins and agreeing to receive the Company’s newsletter.

8. Participation in the Promotion is excluded for employees of the Company as well as anyone who is (in)directly involved in any way in the development and the implementation of the Promotion.

9. Participants under the age of 18 are excluded from participation in the Promotion.

PRIZES:

10. The participant in the Promotion has the option to claim the FREE 5 minute Trial call upon entry. This is a single call that can be used for language intepretations between Spanish+ English, French or German. The call must be pre-booked with language selected and suitable contact details provided to the company to carry out the service.

11. Winners will receive either 5, 15 or 30 minute call bundles completely free of charge. These call bundles of minutes can be used for the company to provide either the “telephone interpretation service” or “phonecall service” as detailed on the company website: www.myfriendinspain.com/call-bundles The prize bundles must be used within 90 days of issue or will expire.

12. There are no physical prizes, only delivery of the interpretation service at no cost.

13. Winners will be selected in an impartial and random manner by a computer system and will be notified by e-mail after the closing date. It will also be required to confirm language selection and suitable landline, mobile or other contact information necessary to carry out the service. The service delivery will be subject to availability and appointments must be confirmed beforehand.

14. Exchanging or returning prizes is not possible. The prize is personal and not transferable or exchangeable for money. Prizes or part of can be gifted by the winner.

COSTS:

15. To participate in the Promotion, no additional communication costs will be charged. Furthermore, no payment or purchase is required for participation in the Promotion.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

16. The winner agrees to behave in accordance with any applicable rules of conduct of the Company and/or other third parties concerned at any locations of the Company and/or third parties.

RIGHTS OF THE COMPANY:

17. The Company reserves the right, without obligation of giving any reason and at its own discretion, to exclude participants from participation of the Promotion if the participant violates these Promotion Participant Terms and Conditions or any other legally applicable provision.

18. The Company also reserves the right to prematurely terminate, interrupt or change the Promotion at its own discretion and without prior notice and/or modify the prizes that can be obtained if it cannot be reasonably expected from the Company to adhere to the original terms, prizes and/or Promotion.

19. In the event of knowledge or suspicion of violations, fraud or abuse, the Company has the right to suspend participation and/or to declare participation invalid, without obligation of giving any reason.

PRIVACY:

20. Participants guarantee that that personal data provided during the participation procedure is correct, truthful, up-to-date and complete. The foregoing is required to be able to provide any prize winners the prize, as well as sending the newsletter. The Company can provide this information to third parties if this is necessary for the provision or the delivery of the prize.

21. Any complaints or questions about the Promotion, prizes or these Promotion Participant Terms and Conditions may be sent directly to the Company’s e-mail info@myfriendinspain.com.

22. The Company endeavours to respond to questions and complaints within 10 working days after receipt.
